Who we are

Get Uganda Coffee is a marketplace for graded Robusta coffee in Uganda. It connects hullers, processors, traders and exporters so they can find, verify and reserve lots directly, without a broker.

These terms apply to the Get Uganda Coffee website, the Get Uganda Coffee app, the Get Uganda Coffee Agent app for field agents, and Get Uganda Coffee on SMS, USSD and WhatsApp.

The marketplace runs independently of any coffee trading by its owners. Seller stock information is not used for Get Uganda Coffee's own buying.

Your account

• You sign in with a phone number or email address you control. Keep your phone and sign-in codes private.
• The business details you give must be true. Get Uganda Coffee may check them before you can trade.
• Get Uganda Coffee may suspend accounts that post false lots, don't honour reservations, or misuse the platform.

Listing a lot

• You may only list coffee you own or are authorised to sell, held at the store you give.
• A field agent visits to measure the lot before it goes live. You must give the agent access to the store.
• The grade, screen, moisture and outturn figures you enter are your own estimate. They are shown only to you and Get Uganda Coffee; buyers see the field agent's measurements.
• Choose a fixed price, which buyers pay as listed, or take offers, where your price is a guide and buyers may offer a different one.
• You can share a link to your lot's quality report. Anyone with the link can see the agent's findings, but not your name or exact location. The link stops working when the check expires, or sooner if you ask Get Uganda Coffee to turn it off.
• Keep your listing current. Withdraw it as soon as the coffee is no longer available.

Buying a lot

• A reservation is a commitment to collect and pay for the lot on the terms shown.
• Deposits, cancellations and disputes follow the disputes and deposits policy.

Verification

Agent measurements describe the lot at the time of the visit. Moisture and stock can change after that, so check the coffee at collection.

A field agent may weigh the lot and test its moisture again at collection. If the figures differ from the verified ones by more than the allowed tolerance, the disputes and deposits policy applies.

Prices

Market prices on Get Uganda Coffee are built from deals closed on the platform and are for information only. They are not an offer to buy or sell.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we will update the date at the top of this page and ask you to accept the new terms in the app before you continue trading.
